Marc Hoeppner: Marc’s technical expertise is based on 20 years of experience as an ISV and Microsoft lead developer/architect, after initially studying physics and meteorology at university. He started working with Assembler, C/C++ and MFC for the first six years, learning the ropes as a software developer and later team/project lead, and from very early on played a key role in dealing with and presenting to customers. Prior to NeoGeo, he built mission-critical systems for garbage incineration plants, maintenance and management systems for power plants as well as client/server and n-tier information management systems. In 1996 he started his own company, NeoGeo New Media GmbH and worked as a consultant and developer for Microsoft-based technologies. Since 2000 NeoGeo started to become an ISV by building its own products such as neoMediaCenter .NET, an information worker solution for digital/media assets, browser-based, but also integrating directly into Office. Marc specializes in ASP.NET, C#, Web Services and SQL Server and has in-depth, first-hand knowledge of all these topics. To his customers, he is known as an extraordinary presenter on technical subjects, both in English and in German. Since most of the customers are not developers, but rather marketing or IT managers, Marc makes a point of presenting even complex technical matters in a way that they are easy to understand, and therefore raises the potential for making “the right decision” in a business context. As managing director of NeoGeo he is also responsible for a wide range of business aspects, such as communicating with partners, including Microsoft, other companies or universities, developing business by sourcing and working directly with customers, and taking care of the “peopleware” of NeoGeo.

Zoom App. works with Silverlight Streaming
Marc Hoeppner writes
"....the Zoom Client is the first application based completely on Silverlight 1.0 and JavaScript. It has broad functionality and implements many features that many of the current flash-applications are not supporting. The silverZoom Client can be placed on any website like HTML- or PHP-based applications. There really is no ASP.NET prerequisite since the silverZoom is written in XAML and JavaScript."
