Welcome to The Region, global hub for the 140 software architects, developers, trainers and other professionals selected by Microsoft as Regional Directors. The first thing to know is that, while we’re officially recognized by Microsoft and often receive inside information about forthcoming technologies, we are completely independent. We are not Microsoft employees. As to The Region, it’s designed to help us circulate insights, information, inspiration and inquiries among RD’s and among the broader developer community. Welcome to The Region.
Alexander Wechsler has been working many years successfully doing project and partner management for customers in the enterprise and embedded market. His projects have been turned into showcases for the successful use of modern software technology e.g. in Bill Gates book “Business at the speed of thought”. During the time at Microsoft his work on educational methods and content for developers as well as project managers, has been recognized several times with national and international “Enterprise Knowledge Management” and “Best Practice” awards. He speaks at international developer conferences and at Universities about application and system development using the newest Microsoft Technologies. Septermber 2003, Alexander Wechsler has been choosen by the Microsoft embedded product group as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP). He was elected as Microsoft Regional Director for Germany in April 2006.
